Typical Japanese rice wine contains between 15 and 20 percent alcohol. In other Asian countries, rice wine, however, are manufactured in many variations with up to 40 percent alcohol. In Japanese cuisine, Sake is drunk as an Aperitif and Digestif, but also during the meals. In addition, the rice wine is also used in sauces or marinades to use.
