Trend 2: Stevia
Sugar substitutes such as Saccharin, sorbitol or xylitol, 2015 – all of the sweetener Stevia. The benefits of the Sugar substitute: Stevia is suitable for diabetics and has an approximately 300 times sweeter than sugar.
However, Stevia is much healthier than ordinary table sugar: the sugar substitute is said to have a blood – pressure and blood-sugar lowering effect. On the other Stevia gets our teeth particularly well, because the sweetener is non-cariogenic.
In the EU, the natural Stevia sweetener Stevioglycosid is only since the 2. December 2011, as a food additive allowed. Previously studies confirmed the safety of consumption of Stevia were missing. The recommended daily maximum dose of Stevia is four milligrams per kilogram of body weight.
